The weather was awful, but the spirits were high !
Another great performance by the Jarvis Constructions three (3) "Be Happy" Relay teams at the annual charity event held over the weekend of 31st April / 1st May 2011.

Jarvis Constructions is a long term sponsor of the Cancer Council's Sutherland Shire Relay For Life event held each year to raise funds for Cancer research. Teams of Jarvis Constructions staff, family and friends take part each year in this 24 hour relay challenge to raise funds and to share in this community event. Some interesting statistics on this years event:

• 199 teams participated in the Sutherland Relay For Life this year
• Total funds raised exceeded $500k
• Our "Be Happy" Team 2 was the 3rd highest placed fundraiser team overall with $14k
• Our combined three (3) "Be Happy" teams raised over $20k - in our best ever effort

The total funds raised from this event annually will make a difference in our challenge to beat this horrible disease eventually.
